General information only
This website is run by Bibhakar & Sons Private Limited (brand: Bibhakar Spices, BIBHAKAR®), Ghaziabad, India. It describes our products and services for business buyers.
We try to keep content accurate, but we do not promise that every page is complete, error-free or current. Only a written quotation, proforma invoice, contract or specification sheet issued for your order creates obligations between us.
No medical or health advice
Our products are foods sold as culinary ingredients. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Where a product page mentions traditional or culinary uses, this is cultural and kitchen context. It is not a health claim or a promise of any effect on the body.
Ask a doctor or qualified health professional before using any spice for a health purpose, and especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication, or have a known food allergy or sensitivity. Our products are packed in a facility that handles several spices and seeds. Ask us for allergen information before ordering.
Product information, specifications and images
Spices are agricultural products. Colour, size, aroma, oil content, moisture and other values vary by harvest, season, lot and storage.
Figures such as moisture, volatile oil, curcumin or bold size are typical or indicative values. The values that apply to your order are those in the specification sheet agreed for your order.
Photos and videos are illustrative. Packaging, labels and appearance may differ from what you see on screen.
Origin and Geographical Indication (GI) statements
When we name a region, such as Lakadong turmeric from Meghalaya, cloves from Kanyakumari or Ceylon cinnamon from Sri Lanka, we are describing where our supplier sources the product, based on supplier and traceability records.
Some of these names are registered Geographical Indications. Lakadong Turmeric and Kanyakumari Clove are registered GIs in India, and Ceylon Cinnamon is a protected geographical indication in the European Union. A GI can be used on labels only by the registered proprietor and its authorised users under the applicable law.
Neither Bibhakar & Sons Private Limited nor our suppliers is a registered proprietor or authorised user of these GIs. We do not use GI logos or GI certification marks. Our origin statements describe where the product is sourced; they are not a claim of GI certification.
Registrations and certifications
We only claim the registrations and certifications listed on our Quality & Certifications page. Each one means what the issuing body says it means, and nothing more.
For example, our US FDA food facility registration means our facility is registered with the FDA. Under US rules, a registration number does not convey FDA approval or endorsement of a facility or its products. Copies are shared on request.
Compliance in the destination country
Food rules differ by country. These include labelling, health and nutrition claims, residue limits, import permits and facility registration with local authorities.
The importer is responsible for checking that the product, its label and any claims made in their market comply with local law. For example, the EU allows only authorised health claims under Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, the US FDA treats disease claims for foods as drug claims, India restricts claims under the FSS (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018, and Russian advertising law does not allow medicinal properties to be attributed to food. We will share documents we hold to help, but we do not give legal or regulatory advice.
Prices, availability and trade terms
Any prices, minimum order quantities, lead times and stock information on the website are indicative and can change without notice.
A price is firm only in a written quotation, which is valid for the period stated in it. Trade terms are set out on our Shipping, Payment & Trade Terms page and in your contract.

No. It describes where the turmeric is sourced. Lakadong Turmeric is a registered Geographical Indication in India, and GI use is limited to the registered proprietor and authorised users. We claim GI status only where we state it expressly with registration details.
