FDA registered spice exporter from India
Bibhakar & Sons Private Limited (Bibhakar Spices) of Ghaziabad, India is a US FDA registered food facility and exports single-origin whole spices to US importers. FDA registration lets a facility ship food to the United States; it is not FDA approval. Minimum order is 5 kg per product, and the registration number is given on request.

What does FDA registered mean for a spice exporter?
Foreign facilities that manufacture, pack or hold food for consumption in the United States must register with the US Food and Drug Administration, name a US agent for communication with the FDA, and renew the registration every even-numbered year between 1 October and 31 December.
FDA registration does not mean the FDA has approved or certified the facility or its food, and we never describe it that way. It means the facility is on the FDA list, which is required before food can be shipped to the United States.
We give the registration number to importers who ask for it. It is not printed on this website. To verify a number, ask your customs broker or FSVP adviser to check it with the FDA. A supplier that cannot give a number when asked deserves extra questions.
Registration is one step, not the whole process
- FDA Prior Notice for every shipment, confirmed at least 8 hours before a sea shipment arrives
- A Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) held by the US importer
- An Importer Security Filing for sea freight, usually filed by your customs broker
- English labels, with lot code and best-before date
The full sequence is set out on our USA export page and in the guide How to import spices from India to the USA.
Registered packing for US brands
Brands that sell spices under their own label in the USA still need the packing facility to be registered. We pack private label spices in PET jars from 5 kg per product, with printed pouches and mono cartons quoted per design. See private label spices and co-packing and single origin spices.
