Ajwain (Carom Seeds)
Trachyspermum ammi · carom seeds · ajowan · bishop’s weedBibhakar Spices supplies whole ajwain (carom seeds) from Rajasthan, India. Ajwain has a sharp, thyme-like aroma from its natural thymol content and is used in Indian breads, snacks and pickles. The seeds are cleaned and packed in Ghaziabad in PET jars from 10 g to 500 g, bulk packs of 5–40 kg or under your own label.
A Rajasthan winter crop
Ajwain is a small seed spice grown mainly in Rajasthan and Gujarat as a winter crop. Its aroma comes from thymol, the same compound found in thyme, which is why it tastes stronger and sharper than cumin or caraway.
Our ajwain comes from Rajasthan and is cleaned to remove dust, stems and stones before packing.
