Cloves from Kanyakumari’s hills

Kanyakumari district at the southern tip of India grows the large majority of the country’s cloves, in hill estates such as Maramalai and Mahendragiri in the Western Ghats. Cloves from this area are known for high volatile-oil content and a strong aroma. “Kanyakumari Clove” is a registered Geographical Indication; Bibhakar Spices and its supplier are not registered authorised users, so we describe our cloves by where they are sourced.

Our cloves come from around Nagercoil, the district headquarters, and are picked and sorted by hand before packing.
