A different spice from green cardamom
Black cardamom comes from Amomum subulatum, a different plant from green cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum). Its pods are larger and are dried over open fire, which gives the dark colour and smoky flavour.
Our black cardamom comes from Idukki, Kerala, and is cleaned and packed in Ghaziabad with the same lot coding and documentation as all Bibhakar spices.
